The following is a work in progress. Conceived as a series of novels, it's being written piecemeal as scenes throughout Karavasu's life come to me and my co-author. The files here are rough first drafts, fully intended to be polished and brought into accord with one another in the future.

Aruna, sole surviving child of the Lopayzom Swordsmaster meets a silver-haired Lopayzom at the local hot-springs. The meeting has far-ranging repercussions in the years ahead.
YL 998:
While on her way to marry the second son of Sikitu, the Fox, Lady Samjayna (the younger sister of Iryasitru, the Raven) is murdered. The scanty evidence present points the finger at the Lopayzom, and the Kaykolom vow to destroy the Fox in retaliation.
Divaksina born.
24 Brightsun, YL 1000:
Karavasu born. Though his birth is recorded in the official documents of the Lopayzu Shrine on the Swordsmaster's estate, those records and others from other important Lopayzom sites are taken from the Eastern Province and given over to a Tortoise Shrine monestary in the Northern Province for safekeeping soon after Karavasu's birth.
4 Redleaf, YL 1000:
Final destruction of the Lopayzom.
Arjunayazu saves the only other living Fox, the infant Karavasu. Unable to determine whom the child's parents were--and thus determine Karavasu's proper birthday--4 Redleaf becomes Karavasu's de facto birthday.
YL 1002:
Erjutvu born, Hiranyu born, Jurnia born.
YL 1003:
Kamalarusya born, Viroka born, twins Tanshalu and Tansuka born.
4 Redleaf, YL 1005:
Arjunayazu takes custody of Karavasu. While starting the journey to the Dragon Palace, Chaiya visits Arjunayazu and
discovers Karavasu's existence.
YL 1010:
In the Shadow Clan town of Bhantaka in the Western Province, Nizaisa comes to the rescue of a young, red-haired man. Within a couple of weeks the Snake Chieftain learns that the nineteen-year-old she saved is the new Rat Chieftain, Rakaznu.
4 Redleaf, YL 1013:
Karavasu confronts his master and adoptive father, Arjunayazu, and demands to be tested for his worthiness to become a master of the Lopayzom Sword-Art. Arjunayazu does so more to humor his son than anything else and is taken by surprise when Karavasu performs well enough to pass. At age thirteen, the feat is nearly unprecedented in the long history of the Fox Clan.
28 Whitethaw, 1013:
Karavasu runs away from the Dragon Palace in order to join up with the
Ruby Dragon army. He intends to not only put his new master's rank to the test but
also risk his life in the defense of Derkarya like other less-fortunate
subjects of the Dragon Throne.
9 Stormwater, YL 1016:
Chaiya visits Arjuna
during the border war between Derkarya and Aizhou. Soon afterwards, Karavasu is moved from the Ruby Dragon army and begins training as a Shadow Warrior assassin.
4 Redleaf, YL 1017:
Requested for a special mission by a female Derkaryan spy in distress, the Demon's Claw for once isn't sent out on an assassination mission. Rather, he's expected to play bodyguard to the vesyastra Ziraisha, spiriting her off to safety since the Phoenix High Command has become suspicious of her and her spying activities.
Whitethaw, YL 1017:
The drawn-out conflict between the Provinces of Derkarya and Aizhou is at a pause for the regular forces over the winter. However, Arjunayazu decides to step up the pressure on the opposing forces by sending the Derkaryan Shadow Warriors out to assassinate more of the Aizhouan chain of command before planning for the resuming of hostilities in Spring can take place. During his latest mission as an assassin, the Demon's Claw eliminates a couple of innocent witnesses, bringing the internal conflict between Karavasu's morals and duties to a head. Khuradasu disappears, but the Phoenix Prince sues for peace the moment Spring allows travel to the Derkaryan capital to take place, finally ending the border war.
7 Brightsun, YL 1020:
The seventeen-year-old Horse Chieftain, Viroka, finds an unusual cargo being smuggled across the border.
Goldfield, YL 1020:
Viroka marries Erjutvu.
4 Redleaf, YL 1020:
Chaiya is murdered at the hands of a Kaykolom at the site of
the final destruction of the Lopayzom.
20 Redleaf, YL 1020:
Arjunayazu, Kerzama and the Dragon warriors finally reach the Rookery
with Dashtru and the bodies of Chaiya and the fallen Kaykolom. Iryasitru
casts Dashtru out of the clan, and Jurnia extracts a measure of punishment on her mother's murderer.
21 Redleaf, YL 1020:
The Lopayzom/Kaykolom feud is formally ended. The still-wounded
Arjunayazu attends Chaiya's funeral, while Karavasu watches from a
distance, unnoticed by all.
12 Harvest, YL 1020:
Arjunayazu, Kerzama and the Dragon warriors complete the journey to the
Dragon Palace, only to discover Divaksina now rules the
Eastern Province.
Latter half of Harvest, YL 1020:
Arjuna marries Kerza. (NC-17) That
same evening, Nethratu pays Diva a visit.
Whitethaw, YL 1021:
Becoming concerned about the ever-increasing net of solitude being tightened around the Empress Kamalarusya, Viroka begins plotting how best to help her friend out of her somewhat dire situation.
4 Greenleaf, YL 1021:
Five months following her mother's funeral, Jurnia accosts a fluffy-headed Lopayzom bumbling about on Kaykolom lands. Karavasu had chosen to remain behind in Zarya and wintered over in the Western Province's milder climate rather than shadow his adoptive father back to the East.
3 Stormwater, YL 1021:
Derkontaru, older brother of the Dragon Princess, is wedded to the Dove Chieftain's cousin, Hathama, in a "surprise" wedding.
7 Stormwater, YL 1021:
Hearing rumors of someone wishing to hire the Demon's Claw, Karavasu visits Bhantaka to make initial contact with the person interested in the
assassination.
8 Stormwater, YL 1021:
Karavasu meets with a Sarpom who
knows the Demon's Claw by sight so that the person interested in hiring
Khuradasu knows that the assassin truly is in town and willing to hear
more. (NC-17 for one small scene)
9 Stormwater, YL 1021:
Kara and Jurnia await hearing from the person interested in assassinating
the Raven Chieftain. A group of lowlifes attempt to rob the Herald, setting in
motion a series of events that emotionally distances Kara from his
traveling companion. (R)
10 Stormwater, YL 1021:
Kara goes as directed to meet with the person wanting to set up the hit
against Iryasitru, but ends up missing.
16 Stormwater, YL 1021:
Midnight meeting between Jurnia and Dashtru for the drugged Karavasu. Meanwhile, over in the Central Province, Kamalarusya is taken by stealth from the Imperial Palace to a safe haven, with the influence of the full moon backing Tansuka and her powers as a priestess of Inda, the Moon Goddess.
18 Stormwater, YL 1021:
Karavasu marries Jurnia.

30 Stormwater, YL 1021:
Still mindful of the plans to assassinate Chieftain Iryasitru of the Kaykolom, newlyweds Kara and Jurnia travel to Kaykolvayshti, capital of the Raven lands.
13 Flowerbright, YL 1021:
Karavasu and Jurnia renew their wedding vows in a very public ceremony before the whole of the Raven Clan. Guests of note include all four rulers of the Provinces as well as the disguised Empress.
14 Flowerbright, YL 1021:
Karavasu becomes the latest Lopayzom Swordsmaster after successfully defeating his master, Arjunayazu, in a duel intended to prove Karavasu's worth to take over the sacred office.
18 Gloomlight, YL 1022:
The eldest child of Arjunayazu and Kerzama is born. His father names him Sikitu after the fallen former chieftain Arjunayazu so admired.
YL 1023:
Tarana, daughter of Divaksina and Nethratu and heir to the Tortoise Throne, born.
YL 1024:
Rahira, youngest daughter of Divaksina and Nethratu and next Dragon Princess, born. Shuru and Parvajaku, the twin sons of Karavasu and Jurnia, are born. Abara born to the Salmon Clan. Rikama born to a Wolf Clan family living along the coastline of Zarya.
YL 1025:
Ashrahu, son of Divaksina and Nethratu, born. Prasayda, daughter of Arjunayazu and Kerzama born. Maena, daughter of Karavasu and Jurnia, born.
YL 1027:
Kertu, youngest son of Arjunayazu and Kerzama, born.
YL 1032:
A new plot is brewed, one which threatens Kara's entire family. For the first time in years, the former assassin finds killing to be the only proper response.
YL 1040:
Karavasu's adoption by Arjunayazu is dissolved in a hearing before the Dragon Princess, paving the way for Lord Sikitu to inherit the Lopayzom Coronet uncontested as the chieftain's eldest son. At the same hearing, not only is it determined that Karavasu has unshakable legal right to be Swordsmaster, he's also discovered to be the son of the Fox Spirit himself.
Home at last, Kara begins married life with Jurnia. (NC-17)
Something happens to Kara, leaving Jurnia to deal with Khuradasu. (NC-17)
Jurnia also gets to deal with the Wanderer. (NC-17)
The mystery is solved, and Kara finally comes to terms with himself. (R)
