DUKE AGRICOL of Roeshaven. Second in command of the former Council of Regents, now head of the Council of Advisors to the Crown.

CATHAL. Malaquin's personal valet and servant and close friend.

ELAINE. Madule's personal handmaiden.

EARL BORS of the Southports. Former member of the Council of Regents. Current member of the Council of Advisors.

EARL MELIAS of Hartford. Former member of the Council of Regents. Current member of the Council of Advisors.

DUKE GRIFLET of Clearwater. Former member of the Council of Regents. Current member of the Council of Advisors. Devoted husband with two daughters and two sons. Wavy, dark auburn hair and dark brown eyes. Age: 36

DUCHESS IGRAINE, former chatelaine of Hart Castle. Wife of Balan.

DUKE BALAN of Stonewater. Former leader of the Council of Regents.

BARON ARTOS of Redhill. Young man enamored of Madule.

ALICIA. Elaine's sister; priestess of the Goddess.

PRINCE AMBRUT. Malaquin and Madule's deceased uncle and former sovereign prince.

ABBOT GRELAIN. Deceased leader of the double-monestary attached to the Cathedral of All Saints in Hartcastle. Killed by Malaquin during an assassination attempt.

GALERON. Royal Falconer.

BARON ROSTELM of . Youngest member of the former Council of Regents. Infatuated with Madule.
